Below, you’ll find answers to some of the questions you may have about our online application process.

Can I verify that my request meets the Honda Canada Foundation’s selection criteria?
Yes. This information is available on the Apply For Funding page of our website, under ‘Am I Eligible?’. Before submitting a request, we encourage you to read this information to determine whether your proposal is aligned with our guidelines. If you believe that it is, we invite you to make an application.
I already have a relationship with Honda Canada. How will the online application impact this relationship?
The online application process will not jeopardize any partnerships between your organization and Honda Canada. Any future proposals should be submitted through our online application.
Applying

This online application takes some time to complete. Is it worth the effort?
Yes. Applying takes approximately 30 to 45 minutes. For this small investment of time, the information provided will allow us to assess your application. Once you have completed the application, you can print a copy for your files.
Why can’t I explain my proposal in person?
We created the online application to ensure that every proposal is assessed fairly and consistently on its merits. If we determine that your request is aligned with the Foundation’s goals and funds are available, we will contact you.
Application Review & Approval

Should I call to verify that my application has been received?
No. Once you have completed your application, you will receive an email to confirm our receipt of your application. You will continue to receive emails updating you on the status of your application.
How can I be sure that my application is being reviewed?
We have adopted an online application process to ensure that ALL requests are reviewed against our community guidelines. By using an online application, we ensure that all requests are reviewed, evaluated and responded to in a timely manner.
When will I hear if my application has been approved?
Once your application has been submitted, you will receive an email confirming that we have received it. Within 90 days folllowing your application submission, a decision will be communicated to you. Please note that in some instances, the decision may require more than 90 days.

Can I complete part of the application now and return to it later?
Yes. When you start your application, you will be assigned a Login ID and Password. Please record these immediately. You MUST have your Login ID and Password in order to return to your application at a later date. Without them, you won’t be able to access your saved application.
How do I save an application once I have started it?
To save your application, click “Save Changes” at the top of the application. All information entered will be saved. However, if you exit the form or your browser closes before you click “Save changes”, some information may be lost.
I have my Login ID and Password. How do I get back to my saved application?
To continue your saved online application, open the application, enter your Login ID and Password and click “Resume Saved Application”. This will open your saved application.
I forgot my Login ID and/or Password. Can I get back to my saved application?
Unfortunately, no. You’ll need to start a new application from the beginning. The system randomly generates Login IDs and Passwords and can’t retrieve them.
I saved an application, but I have decided to start a new one. Is this a problem?
No. Open the application and click on “Begin new application”. The system will erase your original application.

Will the information I provide be kept private?
Yes. The information provided in your application will remain confidential and will not be used for any purpose other than the assessment of your application by the Honda Canada Foundation. The database where your information is stored is password protected and secure.
I have a question that is not listed here. What do I do?
If you still have questions or wish to share feedback, please submit a support request. Explain the situation clearly, so we can respond appropriately. Our technical support staff will contact you within one business day.

What Information will you require from my organization if successful?
If your application is successful, you will be asked to provide marketing materials.
